WHAT IS BEE?

BEE Mentorship Program is a student-run community at BUEB that supports international students through their first semester. We pair new students with mentors who help them navigate university life — from course registration to finding their way around Budapest.

Founded in 2022 and restructured in 2025, BEE has three internal teams (Administration, Marketing, and Events) and around 50–70 active mentors every semester. Last year, BEE supported 828 international students from more than 90 countries.

Starting from the fall semester of 2026, BEE Mentorship Program is introducing changes to its structure. We are building a more focused and organized system — with clearer roles, better support for mentors, and a stronger community overall. This application is the first step into that new chapter.

Right now, you can apply to join BEE as a mentor and become part of the program. The specifics — whether you want to work directly with international students, or whether you want to join one of our internal teams (Marketing, Events, or Administration) — will be decided together with you in the second wave, in summer. For now, we just want to hear from people who are genuinely interested in being part of the program.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for people who are motivated, reliable, and actually care about making someone else's experience better. You do not need prior experience.

To apply, you must:

• Be an active student at BUEB (Budapest University of Economics and Business) in the 2026–2027 academic year
• Be available starting from mid-August 2026 — the program begins before the semester officially starts, and being present at onboarding makes a difference
• Be reachable and responsive — if you are accepted, we will contact you by email with next steps, and we need you to actually check it
